Sugar in the Air is about the kind of happiness that doesn’t need an occasion—the windows down, music playing, children in the backseat, and an ordinary day becoming the kind of memory a family carries with them.

These moments have always mattered to me. In many ways, they are the life I have spent years creating: family close, adventure within reach, music playing, and beauty tucked into otherwise ordinary days.

I didn’t suddenly learn to notice them. I finally learned how to put words around them.
